4TH OF JULY

We went to Tom and Lisa's for the 4Th. Here are a few pictures. Uncle Len arrived late as usual. Maddy decided she wanted a piggy back ride or from what it looks like in the picture she wanted to choke Uncle Len for a little bit. Dayne and the Codeman relaxing on the porch.
Lexie and Lori...check out their pins. The project of the week for Jordan and Alexis was to make "The Ladies" flag pins. They were so cute!! I give them an A+
Tom was our chef for the day all he was missing was a kiss the cook apron. The food was great! So this is why my husband is not a cook. Tom walks away from the grill for a few minutes and comes back only to see Jr standing there with flames coming out of the grill. No fire extinguisher needed here Tom put the flame out all by himself.
After we ate all the kids went to the back yard for some play time even the 2 big kids that torture the little ones.
See what I mean.... Where's my Mommy? Uncle Len took my hat!
Aah Life is so hard torturing little kids. I think I'll just relax here for awhile or at least until my big brother and the kids come and knock me over. I think I actually caught Cody in the act. Yup that's Cody there trying to knock him over.
5 little Angels sitting in a hammock
June hey June there's Brownies!!! "Why you telling me there's brownies Len? 15 other people here and you have to yell to the fat kid that there's brownies"
Look a rose between 2 thorns!! Seriously not even joking!
It was time for slip n slide! Check out Tom showing the kids how it's done. I think you get a 10 for form and a 10 for distance. Hope you weren't too sore Sunday.
I hope everyone had as much fun on the 4Th as we did. If you didn't just come with us to Tom and Lisa's next year. We guarantee you'll have a great time!!!

12 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Sunday was our 12 year Wedding Anniversary. We have been together since June 28, 1992 and got married June 28, 1997. I am so Thankful to have such a wonderful Husband!!

MADDY'S TROPHY/ SOFTBALL PICNIC

Madisyn got her trophy at the softball picnic this past Sunday June 28. Look how cute these little girls are. It is so fun to watch them play.
All the girls on the team call DJ baby DJ. The picture below is the team with all the coaches.
So at the picnic they had water balloon tosses and of course the 2 big boys had to get involved. Here is Dayne and Brandon (Alexis' BF Sage's Dad) being a couple goof balls!!!
Dayne is the assistant coach for Maddy's T-Ball team and they decided they wanted to pelt him with water balloons. LOL

***CHAMPIONS***

Well here they are your 2009 Greater Scottdale Girls Softball Team Champions!!!! These girls went undefeated all through out the regular season and Championship games!! We were told that no team ever ended the regular season in first place then won the Championship.
Way to go girls you did a great job!!!!!!
Alexis got a trophy for coming in first place in her division and one for winning the championship!
Look at her trying to look tough!
The trophy in the picture above is the one for winning the division and the one below is for winning the Championship.
To win the Championship the girls played a game Friday evening then they had to play 2 games on Saturday. When handing out the trophies Alexis' coach would say something about each girl. Last year he called Alexis his little blue eyes this year he said she was his most improved player. She was so proud she kept asking me "Mom did you hear what coach said?". Alexis is just glowing with these trophies she even told her Dad that he needs to make her a new trophy shelf because the other one is too small.

FATHER'S DAY

Yesterday was Father's Day. The kids and I got up before Dayne because they wanted to make him breakfast. He had eggs, pancakes and toast. Madisyn made the toast and Alexis helped with the pancakes and eggs. DJ well he just ran around the house. Here is a picture of Daddy with his Father's Day present and his 3 little monsters.
Dayne got a new fishing pole so what better way to spend the day than fishing at Mammoth park. Dayne has not been able to catch a trout in years so Sunday must have been his lucky day. Here he is with the rainbow trout that he caught!!
This is my Daddy opening the card that we got him. He went to the kitchen to read it because he didn't want us to see him crying. My Dad is awesome!! I am very much a Daddy's girl and so Thankful that I have such a wonderful Dad!!
Dayne used to make fun of me for being a Daddy's girl but now that he has 2 girls of his own he understands the bond between a Dad and his Daughter.

Fishing

Today we took the kids to Mammoth Park to do some fishing. Madisyn was using her pole but because she wasn't getting any hits she decided to also use Daddy's pole just to make sure she caught one.
Look I caught a blue gill. DJ thought the fish were great and every time someone caught one he had to touch it then he would giggle.
Alexis said her pole and bobber were lucky. She would only use the one bobber she started with. Every time she got her pole in the water minutes later there would be a fish on it.
Alexis had two hooks on her line a top hook and a bottom hook and this time she ended up reeling it in and there was a fish on both hooks.
Maddy and one of her fish.
Maddy had a hard time reeling in one fish so Daddy had to help. You'll see how big the fish was in the pictures below.

Maddy liked the little fish but when she saw the size of this one she ran. You would have thought it was big enough to swallow her or something!
I love this picture. Alexis is a goofball!!

Alexis is trying to help Daddy measure!!
My two men relaxing by the lake!!

PIRATE GAME/ PENS WON THE STANLEY CUP

Friday June 12 we took the girls to their first Pirate game. Dayne got bleacher seats for us. The girls were so excited to get these Pirate hats that they were giving away that night. Here is the crew in the bleacher seats. We got there about an hour before the game started because Dayne wanted to get first pick of the seats. Dayne also took Alexis' MP3 player so he could listen to the Pens game. We won the Stanley Cup!!! Way to go Pens!!
Some guy sitting in front of us started throwing balled up t-shirts into the stands. CJ was lucky enough to catch one. It says Left Field Loonies.
Before the game the Pirate Parrot stole the bases from the grounds crew and put them as far out in the field as he could get them. Maddy and Alexis thought that was hilarious!
The Pirates ended up losing the game 3-1 but our awesome Pens won the Cup 2-1.
